If you're a registered nurse or allied health professional with experience in working with people who experience symptoms of psychosis, the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) has a full-time, ongoing opportunity waiting for you at Noarlunga.

About the role: 

Deliver holistic, recovery-oriented support to consumers and their families across Adelaide's southern suburbs. Duties for the role will include:

  • Conduct mental health assessments, including risk assessment and formulation, for consumers experiencing psychotic disorders
  • Develop, implement, and review individualised recovery-oriented care plans in collaboration with consumers, carers, and the multidisciplinary team
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions appropriate to discipline and scope of practice
  • Coordinate care transitions between inpatient, community, and primary health services
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with SA Health standards and relevant legislation
  • Participate in case conferences, clinical review meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Engage with consumers and families to support education, relapse prevention planning, and community connection
  • Contribute to quality improvement, accreditation, and service development activities within the team

About you:

Please refer to each individual role description attached below to determine where your experience and classification aligns. 

  • Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice; OR An appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; OR Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in mental health settings, with exposure to psychosis, early intervention, or community mental health
  • Ability to work effectively within a multiclass, multidisciplinary team structure — a model central to how SALHN delivers integrated care
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with consumers, carers, and multidisciplinary colleagues
  • Capacity to manage a complex caseload independently while working collaboratively within a team structure
  • Knowledge of early intervention frameworks and evidence-based approaches specific to psychosis
  • Ability to provide culturally safe and responsive care to consumers from diverse backgrounds
