The Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator plays a key role in enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of residents at the Keith and District Healthcare Facility. This position designs and delivers inclusive, meaningful recreational and lifestyle programs that support residents’ independence, preferences and goals, while fostering strong community and volunteer engagement. The role works collaboratively with staff to ensure activities align with organisational values and meet Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging leisure and lifestyle activities that support residents’ wellbeing, independence and quality of life.
  • Encourage resident participation in meaningful, person-centred activities aligned to individual needs and preferences.
  • Coordinate and support volunteer programs, strengthening community involvement within the facility.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align leisure and lifestyle goals with organisational standards and care objectives.
  • Ensure programs meet Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission requirements and guidelines.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Do you have experience coordinating leisure, lifestyle or recreational activities within an aged care or community setting?
  • Are you confident engaging with residents to support independence, choice and meaningful participation in activities?
  • Do you have the ability to build positive relationships with volunteers, staff and community members?
  • Are you able to plan, deliver and evaluate lifestyle programs in line with Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission standards?
