About the Role:

We're seeking a passionate Registered Nurses and Clinical Nurses  to join our Older Persons Mental Health Community Team, supporting individuals and families on their journey to wellness.

These positions offer the opportunity to provide specialised nursing care across our diverse patient population. You'll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, delivering evidence-based care while maintaining the dignity and comfort of patients.

Community-based mental health nurses play a vital role in Australia’s healthcare system. With 1 in 5 people experiencing a mental illness in any given year, the demand for mental health support continues to rise. Various socioeconomic factors, such as access to services, living conditions and employment status, can influence someone’s mental health. This impact is not limited to the individual but extends to their families and caregivers. In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to older adults experiencing mental health challenges. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualised care plans, providing ongoing monitoring and support and fostering strong partnerships with clients, their families and other healthcare professionals.

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered as a Nurse by the Nursing/Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and hold a current practicing certificate. You must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
