About the Role

The Ward Attendant, Renal Services at Hampstead Dialysis Centre works under the direction and supervision of a Registered General Nurse, assumes the responsibility of providing a support service to other staff caring for patient / clients.
The Ward Attendant contributes to an effective and responsive service to patient/client care, they also contribute to the provision of an effective cleaning service to Hampstead in Centre Dialysis and Home Dialysis.
Overall other activities as required to support the successful delivery of quality services within the Renal Services.

About You

You are a proactive and dependable individual with a strong understanding of support services in a healthcare setting. Your ability to work both independently and as part of a team makes you a valued contributor to patient care and service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A sound understanding of ward attendant, orderly or porter responsibilities, including ward procedures, patient transfers, and infection control principles.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read and write in English.

  • The ability to manage time effectively, work independently with minimal supervision, and adapt to changing priorities.

  • A flexible and self-motivated approach to your duties, with a commitment to continuous learning and role development.
