About the Role:

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking passionate Rehabilitation Consultants to join our Northern Adelaide Rehabilitation Service.

As a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine, you'll play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive rehabilitation services within the Northern Adelaide Rehabilitation Service. From inpatient care to ambulatory care, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients. Your contributions will extend to teaching, training and research, further enriching your professional journey.

The Northern Adelaide Rehabilitation Service provides comprehensive rehabilitation medicine service within NALHN including:

  • Inpatient Rehabilitation Ward
  • Rehabilitation In the Home program
  • Day Rehabilitation Service
  • Consultation/Triage Service to the acute and subacute sector
  • Regional outreach rehabilitation service to Wallaroo (YNLHN) and Berri (RMCLHN)
  • Amputee Rehabilitation
  • Prosthetic and Orthotic Service
  • Spasticity Clinics
  • Driving Clinics
  • Stroke review Clinics
  • Pain Service
  • South Australia Intellectual Disability Health Services (SAIDHS)
  • Rehabilitation Acute Flow Team (RAFT)

To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.

Fellowship with the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (FAFRM) or equivalent is highly desirable.

The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.
