    • Classification - MDP2 - Medical Practitioner - $105,751 to $171,579 p.a (includes award salary, superannuation and any other monetary benefits)
  • Full time - Term Contract (Initial 12-month contract within WCHN – total 3-year SA Health wide employment)
    • As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-months allocation to Advanced Trainee Paediatric Cardiology will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills, and capabilities.

About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Medicine team as a Advanced Trainee /Registrar, where you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-standard paediatric clinical services to patients across South Australia
  • Delivering inpatient and outpatient care under consultant supervision
  • Participating in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of paediatric patients
  • Demonstrating commitment to clinical teaching of junior doctors and medical students
  • Contributing to research projects relevant to paediatric care
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient management
  • Engaging in clinical audits and quality improvement activities
  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participating in continuing professional development and training activities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) or equivalent,
  • Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner
  • Minimum 4 years satisfactory experience as an Intern/Resident Medical Officer/Registrar in a recognised teaching hospital.
  • Satisfactorily completed Basic Training requirements of their College and considered an Advanced Trainee as applicable.
  • Ability to work as an effective team member in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other staff
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and/or high workloads
  • Problem solving and decision making skills (both clinical and individual)
